I have just begun a 7 week residency at the Institut Superieur des Beaux-Arts de Besancon, in the Franche-Comte region of France. I will be working here on a project (yet to come to m), and assisting the students in their English.
Besancon is a beautiful town, with a famous citadel. The school is placed within an Industrial estate, and the view from my window is a sea of little tin chimneys, all different sizes, and each spouting smoke at different times.
Last night i spent an hour trying to say the word "trou" (hole) correctly.
